It’s been said that truth is in the eye of the

beholder, similar to beauty’s residence…

Truth being “in the eye of the beholder”

makes truth relative and subjective to every

whim and fancy. Truth according to the Bible

and Jesus is absolute and objective, not

colored by feelings and opinions.

The search is on for the Truth.  Keep digging

and questioning what you’ve been told and

take it to Christ.  He alone will settle the dust

and write His Truth in our minds and hearts.

I believe that some people have more of a connection to electricity than do others.

Many years ago my father was watching a lightning storm through the screen door of the house when a lightning bolt struck the screen and knocked him down and out. He recovered with no bad effects.

I’ve also had electrcial experiences…

Once when I was changing furniture around a room, I unplugged the TV and saw this huge flash of light, heard a loud pop, and was thrown across the room.

I didn’t know it but our dog had chewed on the TV cord and I guess she broke the wire inside.

Another time, I went to turn on a night light (the kind you plug into an outlet) and again the huge flash of light, loud pop, and was thrown across room. I didn’t know the bulb had been broken, and I had grabbed the bare filament instead of the on/off switch. This time my hand became covered with a soot-like substance but had no burn.

Another time, I was sitting and watching TV between two windows that were open directly across from each other. We were having a thunder storm and all of a sudden I saw this lightning bolt shoot right directly across in front of me. It came in one window and went out the other. Luckily I was sitting just behind the direct path or oops! You better believe I’ll no longer sit in the direct path of two open windows during a storm again!

And yet another time Priscilla and I were walking along…a tree branch snapped and fell, pulling down and breaking an electrical line. The line was snapping around and lighting up! Good thing I heard the snapping of the branch and looked up. I was able to put distance between P & me and the live broken line. Our area was without electric for a few hours.

I’ve also been in an airplane when lightning struck it. Believe me, there was a whole lot of shaking going on!

So, do some people have more of a connection to electricity than others?

What do you think?

Felix was a man of God
He loved the Lord; He worked the sod.
He gave his all, helped the poor
His job to teach was not a chore.
Time to hunt; Soldiers went out
They looked for Felix all about.
Felix prayed; His faith was strong
He had to hide, outdo the throng.
Found some ruins, hid within
A spider came and webbed him in.
It spun fast so faithfully
The soldiers passed; Felix was free.
Silken curtain quickly spun
Unbroken threads meant job well done.
Felix prayed in thankful bliss
Named faithful spider, Fidelis.

People say seeing is believing.

Close your eyes….

Can you smell the rain before it drops?

Can you feel the sun rise or set on your face?

Can you see the beauty of music?

Can you taste the kiss of love?

Can you hear the pain of heartbreak?

Is only seeing believing?

The Church is not a building;

It’s a body.

It has no rooms for cleaning,

Or a lobby.

You cannot paint its walls -or-

Greet in the halls.

The Church is not a building;

It’s a body.

The Church is not an office;

It’s a body.

It’s not a place for business

Or a party.

It’s not where we meet -or-

Where we take a seat.

The Church is not a building;

It’s a body.

The Church is not in town;

It is the City.

It’s not built upon the ground

Or with money.

You can’t hang up a sign

On brick, oak, or pine.

The Church is not in town;

It is the City.

The Church is the Bride;

Jesus is the Groom.

Together they abide

As new Jerusalem.

The Church is the Kingdom;

Its light is the Lord.

For us He has come,

So faithful is His Word!
