I left later than originally planned for weekly Bible study. I was enjoying my drive while listening to my Elvis: Ultimate Gospel cd. Needed gas so that also took more time. On my way again and came upon slow moving vehicles in front of me. Saw flashing lights ahead on left, maybe road work? Then spotted policeman directing us to keep moving along. That’s when I saw a flipped vehicle lying on its side on my right and a vehicle with front end damage on my left. Also debris in road. Wow! The realization then hit me. If I had left on time or hadn’t stopped for gas, I could have been involved in that accident!
Who knew?! God knew! PTL for His protection!
I know these verses are taken out of context, but ever since I found them on 9/11, they are a chilling reminder to never forget.
“Thine heart shall meditate terror. Where is the scribe? Where is the receiver? Where is he that counted the towers? Isaiah 33:18
“That day is a day of wrath, a day of trouble and distress, a day of wasteness and desolation, a day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness, A day of the trumpet and alarm against the fenced cities, and against the high towers. Zephaniah 1:15-16
“And there shall be upon every high mountain, and upon every high hill, rivers and streams of waters in the day of the great slaughter, when the towers fall.” Isaiah 30:25
Many streams/rivers of waters/tears have fallen and still fall because of that day…Psalm 119:136.
How many bottles does God have that contain our tears? Psalm 56:8b
